8 weeks is the hard limit. Beyond that, you are in "Braid Debt"—the weight of the extension pulls on your new growth, leading to breakage. Our Braid Protection Plan includes a perimeter retouch at week 4 to keep you fresh and safe.

Yes, but salt and chlorine can dry out your natural hair inside the braid. We recommend rinsing your hair with fresh water immediately after swimming and applying a light leave-in conditioner to prevent mineral buildup.

Pain is not a sign of quality. At Vibrate, we install for longevity without extreme tension. If braids feel tight, use a warm damp cloth on the scalp to relax the tension. Never pull or tug on them.

We stock premium extensions in the studio in standard shades. If you want a very specific color or brand, feel free to bring it, but most clients find exactly what they need here.

Cornrows take 1.5–4 hours. Box braids and knotless braids take 5–9 hours depending on length. We give you a precise estimate at your free consultation.

Come with clean, detangled hair. This is the foundation of a good style. If you need us to handle the wash and detangle, please book it as an add-on so we have enough time.
